Pretty stadnard film about, yes, telephoner repairmen. Show the many step of getting a pole into the ground, setting up wires and so on is done. While this is done, the nostaligia factor can only take this film so far. Mostly Dry and Dull,

1950s short from the series Americans At Work, produced by the AFL-CIO, meant to be shown on television. The film covers the different jobs that telephone linemen do: installers, splicing wires, putting up telephone poles, running microwave relay stations, etc. The tone of the narration is a bit overwrought, as it made the workers seem heroic for working in all sorts of weather and whatnot.

Still an interesting film for those interested in telephone history.
